MOMS Club of Greenfield, Indiana is very active in our community. We are proud to share with you a list of some of the service projects that are ongoing and projects we have completed.



2006 Services in Progress:

Themed Donations: We collect donations for our local Food Pantry 4 times per year. In August there will be a Birthday theme. We will collect cake mix, foil cake pan, icing and candles.

Mother-to-Mother Fund: MOMS Club members have created birthday cards for children and adults. All proceeds go to the Mother-2-Mother Fund.



Past community service projects for our chapter include:

OPERATION MEMBERS 2005: We have "adopted" 2 members husbands that are overseas. We will hold membership collections and send gift packages full of supplies needed, plus cards and letters from us and our children, to the husband's units.

CREATE for the CLUB: We organized a large scrapbooking and rubber stamping event that benefit our local Boys and Girls Club.

Thoughtful Project: We designed cards with poems and attached charms to give to moms that have suffered a miscarriage.

Edelweiss Horse Therapy and Indiana Solders and Sailors Home: benefited from our chapter creating, selling and delivering gift baskets for Mother's Day. $750.00 was donated to Edelweiss and the home received room makeovers and pampering supplies for the girls dorms.

Collections: Campbell Soup Labels, Heinz Baby Food Labels, Cereal Box Tops, Luvs Points.

Holiday Service Projects: Red Cross Christmas Toy Program, we've sponsored several families through Red Cross at Christmas time, we delivered desserts to firefighters at Thanksgiving and Christmas time, we wrapped gifts for the Mental Health Association, we helped the Boys and Girls Club decorate for their Breakfast with Santa.

Mother-to-Mother Fund: We sold Pampered Chef cookbooks and we sold Holiday World tickets, monthly Meal Raffle Tickets sold during meetings and Holiday Babysitting.

Make a Difference Day: We made and donated 120 SELF ESTEEM bags to the Indiana Soldier's and Sailors' Home by hosting a huge MOMS Club garage sale and car wash 2001. We made and donated 40 backpacks filled with personal items for mom and her children to the Domestic Abuse Center in our town. We donated bags for the first 40 moms that had babies in the hospital during 2003.

Hancock Memorial Hospital: Discovery Toy Fundraiser for Hancock Memorial Hospital (2 years), Gift Bags for new moms at Hancock Memorial Hospital (2 years).

Helping Brown's Chapel 1998-2002: Toy cleaning in their nursery several times, donated money for new playground equipment, helped on "work" day to spread safety mulch on the playground, donated money at Christmas time, donated money for their building fund.

Walks: Avon Breast Cancer Walk we helped 3 members that walked the 60 mile walk with a Pampered Chef fundraiser, Race for the Cure- Breast Cancer (3 years), Michael's Walk - SIDS, Autism Walk.

Our Community: Nursing Home visits with snacks, art activity and songs, ARC's Celebration of Diversity, we donated drinks and served them, The ARC's Wizard of Oz play, we helped with Opening Night Reception by donating and serving punch. At the Hancock County Health fair we sold homemade cookies and then gave proceeds to the Boys and Girls Club of Hancock County. We tended a Booth at Daily Reporter's Family Fun Fair in New Palestine. We planted and made a container garden for Hancock County 4-H Fairground's beautification project. We tended a booth at the Hancock County Parenting Fair (2 years). We collected books to give to the Hancock County Health Department to give to children when getting immunized (2 years).

Hope House (Hancock County's Homeless Shelter): We organized a spare change drive to help with their $10/day/per bed campaign, we donated different items each month for 1 year (collected during our business meetings).

Food Pantry: We donated food items during the holidays. We packaged birthday cake/frosting/candles for Food Pantry.

FUSE: Helped establish a library of special need resources using funds from our Make A Difference Basket Sales.

And More: $50.00 donation to Indiana Puppy Patrol which teaches children about law enforcement and anti-drug use, Operation Dear Abby, $100 donation to Red Cross after 9/11. We helped fill a semi with needed items heading for NYC after 9/11. We delivered homemade salsa, pop and chips to fire fighters, police and National Guard in our area for 9/11 remembrance.
